I have a European personal finance blog for over 2 years now. In these two years I managed to get a couple of high ranking posts that generated quite some traffic. However, with the latest Google update all but one of those posts got demolished in favor of blogs or pages from financial experts. Even worse, new competition keeps popping up with decades of experience in the european financial sector. How can I as a blogger with experience in banking but on the IT side of things compete with that? If Google keeps pushing towards EAT how can a personal blog from a non-financr guy ever get on top? I do realise EAT isn't everything but it's a genuine threat.
