About a year ago, I built a website for a client that runs a flooring business. It was a basic website at the time, it had your normal Home, About, Services and Contact pages with a few before/after images across the site etc. Recently, they wanted to introduce an SEO strategy to increase organic rankings. I suggested the first step would be some on-site SEO by building out some dedicated service pages for each flooring type.
I ended up rebuilding the whole site with new content, images and a new theme so the website is now really lightweight, fast and has good SEO content plus optimized images. I rolled out the new website on November 27 and two days later the results started.
This is on Bing (not Google) but the results happened super fast? Is this normal behaviour? Going from pretty much unranked to the first spot within 2 days was really strange and unexpected. Yahoo search engine also experienced the same results (just not as many) but Google hasn't budged at all and the site is still unranked for the same keywords.
What have you guys experienced with quick SEO results? Is this the norm with Bing and Yahoo? If Bing and Yahoo ranked this fast, is that a good sign for Google too?
