A client has set up a plugin-heavy, slow-loading woocommerce store, launched one year ago. One category, with no internal links to it outside of breadcumbs and no backlink profile at all, is consistently ranking #1 and has been for the last two months. Aside from the layout and menus, it has no content other than a list of the product titles (which are all [industry item - measurements]) and prices. The other front page results are similar, older webshops with more informational content, and one informational lead generation page. The CTR is 10.8%, despite the title and meta description having no SEO love given to them at all. Keyword Planner suggests 100-1K monthly searches, and ad price is pretty high due to the nature of the item.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is: SEO is weird sometimes.
