Different meta descriptions

Hello, I have problem with meta description and sadly I can't find solution.

I have site xyz.com with meta description "random description". When I google xyz everythings looks good and in results I can see my "random description" but when I google xyz.com I see different meta description and it is not even close to my "random description". Is it normal situation?
