Does google send outdated search results to "omitted results"?

Hi, this might be a really dumb question, but does google send your old search listings/snippets to omitted results when you update them?

Because everytime i change/modify my page title or meta description and index that page, the previous search listing of that page moves to omitted results. I am wondering if this is normal?
