So I've spent the past 3 months reversing the damage done by the December 2020 update. Then I wake up to find those last 3 months pissed up the wall.
I've been racking my mind trying to work out what could be the flavour of the month now.
- Keywords - has the algo gotten smarter? Spam sensors more sensitive?
- FAQ sections - these were flagging in structured data last week. It might have something to do with that.
- Punishing sites with poor mobile speed? I know the big mobile update is due soon. Could it be to do with that?
I've been analysing competitor sites but nothing's jumped out at me as yet. And it still seems so volatile.
Anyone come across anything so far?
