I've been having trouble with divi in terms of performance. Despite several different Web designers, seo folks etc I've not been able to get mobile speed past 38/100. Everything from plugins, images and host are optimised.
I feel I'm at the technical limit of divi in terms of fixing the bloat. I've been searching for alternative options and currently thinking of generatepress for a lighter and quicker setup. I don't expect divi to focus on speed or improve their code anytime soon in the next year or two.
Has anyone done this switch before? How was the performance improvement?
I know it will be a painful switchover with divis shortcodes etc but once done should be all good.
