Sorry for the amateur question/scenario
I’m a small business owner working on a website refresh. My website is pretty dated and have been wanting to redesign for about a year but have been afraid to do it because of ranking. I’m positive my new design will be a better UX.
I’m currently ranked #1 in my city for our main industry keyword and several others. Customers visit my website to view our services and submit a contact form.
I made my original website using Themify and will be doing the same for the refresh. (Wish I used Divi at first lol)
I redesigned my landing page, 2 service pages, and I’m adding a new service page. I have about 10 pages total right now. (I redesigned using local by flywheel)
I’m not changing the page urls nor the page titles. I pretty much changed all the images, most of the text, and the entire on-page layout. 3 internal links from the landing page to useless blogs will be removed. (Pretty much scrapping the original ugly layout)
I made sure to keep h1’s, h2’s, h3’s and optimized all the media.
Any tips or suggestions? I’m worried I will lose my ranking permanently!
Thank you all!
