I started a small business back in May and had a little bit of SEO experience from a job I held for a few years a while back. When I got that job, I was 19 and had literally no experience in anything at all, having only held a server job in a fast food place before. I'm still not quite sure how I landed that one but I was made marketing manager and thrown into the deep end. I started teaching myself SEO basics but never really felt that I knew what I was doing or had much confidence.
Anyway fast forward about eight years later and I've started my side hustle selling handmade earrings, because the day job has burnt me out and I needed something to do to help me cope with grief (separate thing I'm not keen to go into)
After a few months I'm now ranking at number one for three of my targeted keywords!! I feel like it's just wrong and I'm going to plummet any minute but how cool is that! I just wanted to share this win with you guys as I don't really know anyone who I can get excited with about SEO stuff in real life.
