What are some other simple steps that can be systematized in small businesses so that they can help us help them better?

When doing SEO for small local businesses (contractor, accountant, etc.). What are some tips that you like to give business owners for things they can do to enhance SEO? I do local SEO for some friends' businesses and they can't afford professional photography, videography, large Google Ads budget. Some things that I always ask for are....

1. Reviews - implement policies to gather reviews from happy customers
2. Real photos - Showing off staff, products/service, customers, location, etc.
3. Stay seasonal - Seasonal sales/specials whenever possible
