Does removing variants in Shopify impact SEO?

We have some products that rank really highly on Google on our Shopify store.

There are certain variants that we will likely never stock again, and to avoid confusion/false hope for the customer, we were thinking of removing these variants from these products.

Will this impact our SEO ranking?
