Hi everyone,
I've got a job offer coming from an SEO agency. This would be a big change from my current role, where I'm part of a company's marketing team and am the only SEO specialist for the company.
Accepting the new job offer means better pay, a promotion, and a chance to work along some thought leaders in the SEO industry.
The only thing I'm worried about is I've heard that agencies have the reputation for burning people out. This place says they put a huge emphasis on work-life balance and I'm all about working hard. The handful of ex-employees I've talked to have been positive and Glassdoor is also positive. But I also don't want to have to have my phone with me after work hours while I'm with my family or hanging out with friends.
The place I'm at now puts your life first before work and is extremely flexible. My coworkers are great and the CEO takes time to meet every employee every six months or so to check up on how we're doing. I'm very comfortable there but know that career-wise, my SEO career will plateau.
Just looking for some neutral voices to see if anyone here has been in a similar situation. Thanks!
