So to start this out this was a client I had worked with in the landscaping industry and I had explained to them that SEO is a long term game and that results may start coming in early but the real magic is going to be at the end when we are close to that first-page ranking which would put her in front of other local companies in her area on Google. Now at the time she had openly agreed with it and said she understood if things were going slow at first.
Now fast forward about two months in and honestly she's getting some pretty great traction a few leads here and there and overall her site is moving, it's not number 1 yet or on the first page but we're making great progress. Then all of the sudden she messages me out of the blue and says that she won't be continuing her services with me which I was a little disappointed in but I understood it's part of business and asked her what she would be doing going forward. She told me that she would be going in another direction with another advertising agency that does SEO who claims not only will they do it cheaper than me but also faster. Now she didn't say those exact words but she had very generously hinted at that through our conversation and I told her to be weary of things like that as there are millions of SEO horror stories out there.
I'm going to ask you one last time to fast forward into the present day where her website is now tanked into the dirt and this SEO company has essentially left her high and dry with a website SEO structure out of a horror movie. It's pretty tough to see but I had warned her and receiving this text message honestly felt a little good as I had told her so. Now she asked me if I could help fix her situation and honestly I would love to help but I also think I would be justified to charge her more not only for leaving the first time but also because I'll have to undo all this work the other SEO company did for her. Do you think I'm justified in charging her more?
