I recently spoke with a new prospect about SEO services and things were going great up until they asked me when they can expect to see results. Now I won't call myself an SEO guru or anything but when clients ask me that question I normally say around 6 months to a year's worth of time to results and often time suggest having a meeting to discuss results around the 6-month mark. This immediately raised concern within the individual as they told me that another SEO agency who had spoken to them prior had said something along the lines of 1-2 months. I never heard from this client again after the meeting. But what fascinated me is that this individual was in a highly competitive roofing industry near a major city and to promise such fast results was almost impossible. They either had to be lying or had the strongest link network to ever touch the SEO world, but please stop promising overnight results. SEO does not bring in the overnight results of paid advertising but if done correctly can be one of the most effective ways to drive in qualified leads and there's no reason to promise such ridiculous results when the end product will just be ruined by poor techniques or cut corners. Take your time and trust the process
