I've been writing content and copies so far in my career with a little bit of social media marketing and content marketing here and there. I have a decent amount of knowledge about keyword research and SEO and I believe it's something I can add to my arsenal of skills to earn more. That's why recently, I started offering my clients Keyword Research and SEO optimization (only for the content), along with my content writing services.
But to do that, I would require a few or at least one KW research pro tool.
What I have in my mind are these - Mangools, SurferSEO, Ahrefs
I have a decent idea about what each of these does and is used for. For example, SurferSEO helps in the content creation process, while tools like Mangools help the pre-content creation process like keyword research and SERP analysis.
I have two confusions:
- Between Mangools and Ahrefs, which one should I choose for keyword research and SEO. Keep in mind, my goal is only to rank my client's website content higher, not to fix or optimize their SEO for the whole site. I mention this because I know Ahrefs is better for the latter. I do know that both of them are somewhat related, but fixing or optimizing their SEO for the whole site is not my responsibility and I'm not getting paid for it. I'm only getting paid for coming up with content ideas and planning, doing the keyword research for that piece of content, and making sure the content is SEO optimized so that given the right circumstances, they can rank higher.
I wanna know if Mangools is enough for this objective or would I still need Ahrefs?
- Should I also get SurferSEO along with Mangools/Ahrefs. I know what SurferSEO does and I've even used it through one of my past clients. The only thing I don't know is how effective it really is and if it really brings results or if it's worth paying the price. I consider myself pretty good at writing and putting words together but if there's a tool that can help elevate that content in terms of SEO as well as overall structuring and keyword placement, I would consider paying for it. But I need to know if it's really effective. Also, there are also other features that SurferSEO provides. How beneficial do you think those features will be for me, given my objective?
I tried to give as much context as possible. If anyone here who have used them all or has extensive knowledge about this field and these tools, I would love to hear what you have to say about this.
I'm trying to save as much money as possible but that won't stop me from paying for what's really needed for getting the job done.
