AMP URLs: Do they have to be SEO friendly and AMP URL or Canonical in schema markup?

I have 2 questions:

  1. Given that my regular pages have URL according to best practice, is it necessary that my twin AMP URLs are also SEO friendly or can they just be a short URL becuase they have a canonical pointing to the regular page anyhow?
  2. If I use article markup and declare the URL in schema.org markup, would I use the AMP URL or the canonicalized regular URL as URL property?

Thanks in Advance :)
