Hello, SEO novice here - tried reading up on this but didn't find quite what I was looking for. Hoping to get some help from this sub!
For my company's website, we currently have a landing page (to explain the why), and a search jobs page which allows users to browse jobs, complete with filters. The search jobs page is secondary and accessible via the nav.
For certain reasons, we'd like to put the search jobs page as the landing page instead, and move the current landing page to a secondary page. In essence, swapping the positions of both pages.
My question is - what should I do with the URL? Keep as is or swap along with the content? Or is a 301 redirect recommended?
To better illustrate my options:
Option 1:
Landing page content: From the why --> job search page
Landing page URL: From /jobs --> /jobs/search
The only thing I find weird about it is the first URL that greets me has doesn't look like the main link.
Option 2:
Landing page content: From the why --> jobs search page
Landing page URL: Keep as /jobs
Would appreciate any insights, thanks!
