I spent ages adding a megamenu to my site - you know where you hover over the main links in the header and it shows relevant links in that category. I thought I was being clever giving faster single-click access to products of interest.
But a SEO consultant tells me that by having these extra 20 or so links on every page I'm reducing the link equity(?) and I should reduce the number of choices.
Does make sense when I think about it, there's lots of things like this I wish I'd considered sooner! What say you? Kill it or leave as-is?
