I run a site similar to ranker.com with thousands of articles about movie, tv snow and music facts. Without doing any manual link building, is there any advice you can offer on SEO? We are slowing seeing loads of pages indexed and pulling in small amounts of traffic. Here are the steps I am following currently.
-
Alt tags on images.
-
Linking existing similar posts to posts that are already ranking.
-
Adding h tags where necessary.
-
Amending snippets to look more appealing in serps.
-
Prettying up slugs.
Is there any other optimisations I should be making? Does structure matter? Currently I just have a single layer of categories eg “Movies / TV etc” should I be using sub categories?
Anyway any advice would be much approached or any links to decent posts answering smiler questions on reddit.
