Hi so on my main website I wrote a couple of articles on a certain topic (couple weeks ago)
I made a web application related to that topic on a new fresh domain I set up.
Named the app "example topic generator", went onto the main website, edited the old posts and added a link to the web app domain with the text "example topic generator".
The problem now is, even though the new site is indexed, on google the top result is showing up the main site articles I added the link to.
Did I do something wrong or will google with time figure out the "example topic generator" link on the articles is actually forwarding to another site and remove the articles from the search results?
Note - the articles have 0 keywords for "example topic generator" other than the text that's a link, and the article headings are unrelated as well
