I recently asked for my SEO firm to share where the backlinks are being published. I can't help by thinking I am being taken for a ride. They have helped me in a lot of ways with keyword research and auditing and rethinking my SEO strategy but when I asked them the following:
"Can you also include the list of offsite links you have created for each month?"
I was replied to with this:
"Regarding backlinks, we do not share our backlinks as we have our own private network in which we have invested a lot of money and time. Sharing the links might hamper our privacy."
This throws a red flag to me pretty hard am I right in thinking I should dump them for a more transparent firm?
