I have a popular product that ranks at the top of Google and Google images, but I want to update and improve the image itself. Can I just make the necessary updates, delete the old image from my server, and then upload the new image with the same file name and page position? Nothing changes except the image itself.
Does the Google algorithm scan the image itself and acknowledge that is has changed?
