Hi all, I recently posted about a php url injection hack on my WP site. It keeps coming back but I think I am getting it handled slowly but surely. I am learning alot about WP security, namely that having a firewall/security services on your WP is essential these days, as the hosting companies can't keep you secure.
Anyways, looking forward I have decided to for a while at least bring my SEO back in house. This is for financial reasons (spent multiple thousands over the last few years and am worse off then I was before, currently banned from Google serps for "security issues"), and also because I feel the hack was targeted and related to one of the companies I hired
I am currently thinking what I will do is build a stack of tools/plugins/outsourcing to manage the site. So far I have this in mind:
-siteground hosting -wordfence security/Geo blocking -pay a writer for a couple blogs a month -pay a creative person to do a couple info graphics a month for my social channels -hootsuite -yoast for wp seo -currently using serpfox for serp tracking
Then I am torn between two serp/link tools. I know a lot of people here like Ahrefs so I was thinking I would do that, but lately I have been getting ads about a relatively new WP plugin called Rankmath.
I wonder if anyone has tried it and if so how does it compare to Ahrefs? Is it good enough for my single site local service business?
Any other thoughts on what I should add to my stack?
Thanks.
