I know my strengths and weaknesses when it comes to taking on my SEO, how best should I approach this?

Hey folks,

  • I am a goldsmith and gemmologist, with a bricks and mortar business looking to grow my online presence into something serious. I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the manufacturing of fine jewellery, design, fashion/style/trends as well as about geology and minerals.
Things I can do/am kinda good at:
  • writing blog posts
  • social media posts/engagement
  • maintaining/building my inventory of product online
  • order fulfillment/client management

Things I have yet to learn/am weak in:

  • technical SEO
  • on-page optimization - specifically figuring out how to optimize for individual items/product pages/get people to click on the buy now button!
  • a bit more in-depth knowledge about where/how many/what kind of links I should be building
  • moz pro or SEM Rush? or a combo of other things?

If you were in my shoes with this set of skills ans gaps, how would you go about this undertaking?

in terms of time/biz structure - I have 'all the time in the world' to dedicate to SEO/SEM and customer interaction. My designs are already made, which my team of worker elves help me physically create and get ready to send out to clients. I physically retain stock and materials, and have a physical workshop and studio location which I hope to make non-customer facing in the future, if the website goes well (i.e. fulfillment only, no B2C site)

I would very much appreciate any suggestions you wizened old pros can offer a green nubby nub like me :-)
