Tips for a junior level content writer

Hello people. I've been working as a content writer for about a year now. This job was such a new thing to me when I begin and there are still 1000 miles to go if not more to learn. I really do want to get better at my SEO writing. My current boss is literally an SEO genius and he does a lot of data-mining and I've been working closely with him. In the last 10 months, I wrote articles for about 100+ websites that typically has around 20 posts per site.

What would you guys recommend me to do to get better at writing good quality content?

I think this depends on the niche but how long a post should be? I currently write around 300 to 500 word articles at most and rarely pass 400. Sometimes it feels like it's not enough but since there is a lot to cover, I hurry up and get to the next site/post. Also, any general advice is appreciated. Thanks.
