So I run a business, and I was thinking about ways to increase my backlink profile. I've been doing SEO for 8 years but can't remember this ever being a 'hidden rule"... so here's my question.
As an offer to potential customers, can I say, "Share a Link to (company) on your site and receive a Lifetime Membership"??
Obviously the quality of links I would get wouldn't be the best, and I can always audit them at a later date... but is this also a hidden rule?
