I recently built a website using wordpress and in order to try and get it to rank on google, i downloaded the Yoast SEO plugin (the free version not premium). For each page, I then proceeded with inputting a 'focus keyword', and also filling in the other areas requested by yoast, such as the title and meta-description.
I am trying as much as possible to use a keyword which I think my target audience would use, had they to search for my website (or similar website). Am also trying to make sure that this keyword can be found in the page I am assigning it to. However my website still doesn't seem to be ranking on google :(
I am new to SEO as you can probably tell, so I don't really know if maybe I'm doing something wrong or leaving something out ...
Any help and suggestions would be highly appreciated!
