I have a new website with a domain (abc.com) which obviously very low ranking on search engines at the moment.
I've also just purchased an expired similar domain (abc1.com) which has a birth year of 2005 and around 2000 backlinks.
Aesthetically my preference is to keep abc.com however I assume there is a lot of SEO value in the abc1.com domain?
Want to get peoples opinions of the following options?
- redirect abc1.com to abc.com (abc as the primary domain, is there any added SEO benefit?)
- change abc1 to the primary domain (any drawbacks?) and then use 'abc' as a redirect to 'abc1' on instagram/facebook etc.
Would love some help on this! Thanks!
