I think I messed up. Help!

I have my first starter site up and running but I think it is still in the sandbox phase. I created a quality piece of content that I applied to be syndicated across some news networks in the US. All the reading I did indicated this was a good white hat way of getting some traction on my site.

BUT! I assumed that they would take the internal links I had on my article out from the syndicated content. I had 4 links to money pages on my affiliate site at the bottom. At first, I thought this would be good as I'd get some links from high DA sites to my pages. I now am worried that when google recognizes these links it will seem spammy as my site is new and the anchors for the links are exact matches for keywords. My article made it onto 125 other pages.

This is probably a pretty unique issue but if anyone has any experience and could help I'd be very grateful. Is this going to be a problem? What should I do?

There is a rel=canonical tag from the other websites to my original article but not on those 4 links I was talking about. Could that prevent it from being an issue?

Thanks in advance
