Hi fellow content creators, hope you are all well and having success in running your blogs/websites.
I have a question on domain name registration renewal. A bit of context, I started my blog last January with bluehost hosting and I purchased the 3-year plan.
However, the domain name registration was only included for 1 year, which means I'll have to renew it soon.
My question is:
- If I was to buy/change domain (example from .com to .org), what would happen? Will that cause issues?
- Similarly, if I change the actual name (not just the .com), what would happen to all the links i and backlinks (social media etc). Would they lead to an error page?
If that is the case, I'll probably renew it without trying to change anything.
Does someone know more about it? Thank you all
