Does internal linking to the non-indexed page affect SEO?

Hello r/SEO,

We have subdomain pages that link to non-indexed contact page in root domain. This page is canonicalised to another contact page on domain page. Do you think it would affect our SEO performance? Should we change the links in subdomain and link it to master copy of the contact page?
