Let Me Do the Writing While You Focus On Your Business

Hey there,

A large portion of SEO is writing and when you're running a business, there's not much time for that. Most of your time will be spent managing the day-to-day operations and that leaves little leeway to create content for your company.

That's where I come in. It doesn't matter if you own an ecommerce store, service-based business, or an agency. I write on anything and everything that my clients provide me in a well-researched, time-friendly manner.

Should I Partner With You?

Let me ask you one question: do you want exciting, top-of-the-line, written content that will help your company grow? If your answer is yes, then send me a PM and let's get to work on growing your business.

What Do I Get?

If you work with me, you get two things: great content (as I've already mentioned before) and a respectful and responsible writer. You're not just getting someone who can write on virtually any niche you have in mind, you're getting someone who genuinely cares about you and your business.

This means that:

-Your content will be ready on time

-All needs will be addressed

-Your content will be thoroughly-researched, intriguing, and informative all while being SEO-friendly :)

Interested? Yeah, I am too. Send me a PM and let's get started!

reliable SEO blogs/people/etc to follow?

Recent cost-cutting measures have put me in the SEO hot seat at work. It's related to what I do/did anyway, I have a brand spanking new subscription to SEMRush, and my boss is pretty much giving me free rein to try stuff out. Yay!!!

Right. But I know if I just Google "seo blog," I'm in for a world of hurt.

Do you guys have people/blogs/etc you follow on Twitter or wherever to keep up to date on SEO trends? I'm not worried about finding resources on the basics, but having a good RSS feed of people who know what they're talking about would be amazing.

Thanks for the help!

Lightweight SEO friendly chatbot?

Hi Redditors,

As most of you already know, Chatbot marketing is an extremely effective marketing strategy in 2019. In fact, I believe that each and every marketer should be using Chatbots in their digital strategy to improve internal marketing goals (conversions) and user marketing goals (engagement with audience).

However, as an Search engine optimization Specialist, it's hard to ignore the site speed optimization issues that comes along with chatbots (specifically on WordPress based websites).

I've been doing a lot of research on all the different Chatbots that exist and there's a lot to choose from

With that being said, I'd like to know what's the most lightweight chatbot to maintain a speedy website?

Multiple options on google

When you google a site, generally the home page is top then 6 other 'top pages' related to the site.

How do you tell google to list these?

Also I recently switched domains. My old one ranks higher, but redirects to the new one. Is there a way of letting google know that the new one is the 'real' one, as if people keep clicking the old one presumably it will stay top of the rankings!

Setting up a troubleshooting wizard for my customers but concerned about being non-indexable.

I'm working on a troubleshooting wizard that will let customers pick problems with their appliance, like "freezer not freezing", and test results like "do you hear clicking under the refrigerator" and then when it has a high enough confidence level, tell them what the problem is likely to be and whether they should call for service or replace the appliance.

However I'm undecided about the SEO aspect vs usability.

For the customer, the easiest would be a sequential wizard that asks questions, like "is the ice cream hard or soft" and "do you hear clicking", however that makes the text and results not indexable and I suspect would be terrible for SEO.

I could also do it as a grid and gray out rejected possibilities as the customer selects more data points. This would be worse for the customer since they would see a wall of questions and possible answers, but the search engines could see all the question and answer text.

This is a lot like airlines, where they have a huge schedule but it's not initially available from the web, except that I'm very small and not an airline . . .

Anybody have any thoughts?

We have a content team ready to do everything else, we just need someone with linkbuilding pitch experience to be run outreach campaigns.

To be specific, we need someone who has proof of experience in: - Linkbuilding - Sending outreach emails and pitching linkbuilding offers

The website niche is coffee and we're looking to hire this week It's completely remote and flexible

CEO of a very successful marketing agency says links INSIDE EMAILS lead to backlinks / anchors. This is 100% wrong... right?

He claims that some email providers allow regular links in emails to be considered do-follow links and anchors that tools like ahrefs will pick up (he says ConvertKit apparently doesn't do this).

Regarding NAP, Effect of using my own tracking number for Yelp and GMB--utilizing GMB "additional phone number"

Local service-based company. I am using a call tracking application that gives me full caller ID, recording of call, transcript, and a ton of benefits that allow me to truly track sales I'm generating from channels Yelp and GMB (see below re GMB). My question is, am I shooting myself in the foot SEO-wise if I have a different number for only these two websites? How much of an impact does my SEO take if only Yelp has a different listed phone number (address/name are the same). I use Yext for the rest of my listings.

Additionally, for GMB, I have my tracking number set as the primary number, with my regular biz phone number set as the "additional" number. I read that this will maintain NAP seo benefits, but I only found one article on the topic. Can anyone weigh in?

Question: How to Deal with Redirects from Duplicate Title Pages/Post?

Since I joined my current company I am now in charge of a brand new Wordpress website custom designed with the Divi Theme. It was a pure developer built site and created without much thought for UX or SEO. I have a lot of marketing responsibilities, so working on the technical aspects of website is not always a top priority. Regardless of persisting issues with a theme builder like Divi, I have been able to do a lot to increase organic traffic site wide and form conversions (easy since they didn't really have any before I started).

The biggest issue I'm having questions about is Blog Posts and custom Resources pages. Essential, I have a blog sub-page that list blog post. I also have a custom made Resources Page on the site that is a repository of Case Studies, Press Releases, Whitepapers, Collateral, and Blog Posts. I create the blog posts no problem, but then I have to create a resource page with the same title and a small intro snippet for that post to appear on the Resources Page. That means I have two separate pages, with the same Titles but different URL's. I redirect those Resource pages to the actual blog page because that's where the actual content is. Easy peasy.

The questions is, should I also canonicalize those already 301 redirected resource pages to the blog posts? They are already 301 redirected, so I am passing value, but is that clear enough in terms of the preferred page? I also wonder if I should no-index those resource pages...I've hesitated to do that. For one, in my gut that feels wrong and if I canonicalize that's a clear signal of the preferred page for search results.

TL;DR

Can't decide if I should canonicalize 301 redirected duplicate content pages.

Starting a new blog - reuse old domain or start a new one?

Hi,

I have an old domain (2 years old) which is a blog with maybe 10+ articles, not actively posting anything at the moment so there’s literally no traffic.

I want to re-start blogging in the same niche but this time I want to choose a different domain name.

I understand that it can take google a few months to index/rank a new site, so my question is, what’s the best approach for me to go forward? Should I:

  1. Register a new domain and abandon the old one. Or,

  2. Register a new domain and redirect traffic to my old domain to new domain? Although there’s no traffic right now, my old blog is already indexed by google.

Thanks in advance!

Brand name in title vs

Hi guys,

The topic's title is almost self-explanatory :

On my website, my <title> tags are made like this :

title of the blog post | brand name

My "problem" is that my brand name is composed of three words (let's say for instance "Home Design Project") which makes it rather long. Of course, it makes the whole title longer than the 60 characters usually recommended. Especially since I'm blogging in French, and in this language we tend to put more words than in English to say the same thing.

What would be your advice ? Does it matter if the brand name gets cut in the SERP snippets ? I am rather willing to keep the brand name there, for the sake of brand awareness, but I'm interested in hearing points of views regarding its impact on title length.

Thanks a lot by advance :)

I'm buying SEO leads.

I'm giving up building an agency site and will no longer meddle with buying a used domain to avoid the sandbox, writing content that is already out there by the millions only to rake in the occasional inquiry.

Instead I am turning to those that already have paying clients and may want to reduce their workload, cant handle a new prospect or what may have you.

Do you have interesting SEO leads or clients that you cannot take care of? I am buying them. PM me with whatever offer you may have and we will come to an agreement in a classic win-win scenario.

Sorry for newbie question, but I’m trying to get straight in my head about Schema data and SEO. I have a law firm website I’ve built and wanted to add Schema data with GTM. Can/should I add Local Business AND LegalService as @type and if yes, do I add it as separate scripts or all in one script I’m really looking for a best practice implementation tutorial if anyone is able to share that. Thanks in advance.

SEO Analogies and Metaphors

I love a good metaphor and have been hearing great ones coming out of SEO conversations recently.

"Blackhat linking is like bring a machete to make sushi. You could get a lot done real fast, but you could also make a big mess."

"Google crawl budget optimisation is like going to look manually look for a book at a library at night with only a flashlight which has battery for a few minutes." (I'm a conversation about importance index, internal linking, signals, crawl rate,)

Please share yours 🙂

Do those SEO experts on Fiverr who work for cheap really help recover website and find fixes? or is it a scam

Im broke and have no money and am pretty desperate for help. Ive tried learning and understanding SEO but its like a foreign language and I spend hours trying to understand it when I could spend that writing articles for my blog so I figure maybe one of those SEO experts can help so I can focus on content. I saw some experts who claim they can help find whats wrong with your website for low cost and tell you the steps to fix it.

Blog post questions

Hi! I’m trying to start a e-commerce website and I went ahead and wrote ~20 1000 word articles all about my keywords, trying to snag some good search real estate. My website isn’t up yet, and includes wondering if it would be better for me to post these pages one by one, or just bulk drop all 20 posts on my website? Also, will blog posts even help me get more sales with Ecommerce? The posts are generally about general tips and I sneak in some product pitches with a link to my store, but will these help me convert sales, or are blog readers and buyers two separate camps? Thanks in advance!

Linking up all my websites together

I am creating an international site for a company that I am working and that company sells a lot of items (think of it as a supermarket).

I am planning to create the international website with all the products, which will then bring the user to the respective regional (sister company) website. (if they have the product available)

However I am thinking if that would hurt my SEO cux of the constant back linking to the same few websites.

Regarding Single Page Optimization

What is the best SEO practice for single page that changes weekly when we promote weekly offers?

We collate the best attractive offers of the week and put it on our page.

As the offers are always changing, is it okay to just leave the meta title and description to a generic one? Does the weekly changes also affect indexing because the content is removed and changed?

Thanks

I was using https://serpchecker.com but it seems Mangool or whoever has taken over them and now it's a $30 a month affair to use it aside from a free trial.

Is there an alternative (free) Serp checker that's close to this one?

Not looking for anything fancy at all, just a serp monitor for a few pages to see if we are on the right path etc.

Local Pack vs Organic

Hi guys,

So I have kind of an advanced question for SEO strategy for a client.

After doing research the keywords they want to rank for are dominated by top national brands and the only chance we have at ranking is through the local pack, and rich snippets.

Has anyone created an on-site strategy that is different, wholly focused on ranking for the local pack and thats it?

I know there are quite a few main factors like on-page signals, GMB, location of user, reviews, ect.

Should I still create an SEO friendly content strategy based on KW research, or focus heavy on all other ranking factors, and create a site that is 100% focused on converting the user.

I have the process of how this type of customer shops and want the website to reflect that, and not do a typical site structure. The hope is it create a great place for the user to learn and be converted into a lead, and get on-page signals from that and the fact that the site is aimed at that category.

Hope this makes sense, thanks!

Google Shopping Error

Hi, I'm having trouble setting up a Google Shopping campaign. I have a few products which don't have GTIN and MPN but it has the brand name. So while adding the products on Merchant center, I left GTIN and MPN columns as blank and did mention the brand name, Since there are no GTIN and MPN numbers I used Identifier_exists as "FALSE", when I fetched the data I see those items are disapproved due to missing GTIN value.

I followed the same exact process while listing other products and they are doing perfectly good. I'm unable to figure it out why the current listing isn't approved. Any help will be much helpful. Thanks!

Can I share the same website template between businesses?

I'm fairly new to SEO. My father in-law and two other family member both own businesses in the same industry. I took over ones website and have been building up his local SEO ranking. Is there any downside to me taking the exact same website, and using it for my other family member's business website, while just changing a few things like the title, logo, and a few other things?

I'm also considering having each of the business websites link to each other as "sibling businesses" or something like that. I'm curious if all 3 businesses can end up boosting each other that way.

All the SEO and related tools we have on our WordPress website that we never use

Hi. We have a WordPress website. We have Yoast SEO installed. We have a subscription to SiteImprove costing a us a lot of money that we never use. I just installed the SiteImprove WordPress plugin. But here's what we don't have.

- We don't have a culture here of website contributors that worry about analytics, seo, etc.

-We don't have a fast loading website

-We don't have any history of widespread adoption of these tools, beyond the 1 person before me who installed Yoast but never used it, or the other one person who used to run some SiteImprove reports, but never really shared it with anybody

-We don't have AHrefs, SEMRush, or Screaming Frog, or any of the other tools that I have used in the past.

I am supposed to make recommendations for us. Tools to acquire in the near future. I would like to be efficient in the use of the money and more to the point, effective.

So, in terms of a) changing the culture and ease of use with the tools to change the culture and b) effective results, what combo of tools would you suggest?

If we use SiteImprove plugin, then is there a need for Yoast? Seems like there is still a great need for AHrefs. But do we also go with the AHrefs plugin?

Then there is, of course, the all-in-one-SEO or other plugins to consider.

Web traffic rank websites (aka Alexa)

Hello everyone!

For example, I have a website about "National Parks in Europe". Also, there are around a few websites with the same subjects "National Parks". I know and I use only two website to get to know - a) what's the page rank, and b) what is the move, changes, is this website going down or up

1) Alexa

2) Similarweb

All other websites ask money. Around $150-200 per months or so, that's $1,800 year. I can't pay so much

Where to find a good SEO expert to transition my website?

I have been using WIX for a while, and although I love it in terms of creating new content, the SEO debate is too much for me and at the end of the day more control over your own content is always better. I own the domain separate from WIX, and am looking for someone to transition my website from WIX to wordpress with the following priorities:

  1. Setting up the website to be perfect for SEO, since it will be from scratch this will be the most important SEO action I take

  2. Setting it up with a page builder I can use, creating a decent article template, so that I can follow the original format.

  3. Creating a website that looks really good in addition to good SEO

If there is a professional organization or individual with a proven body of work out there, let me know. I'm swapping it over in about a week at the latest so don't really have time to post 10x on upwork or freelancer, would rather go with an established org/individual.

How would you rank a local grocery delivery service with no physical locations?

What are your package sizes and prices?

I am assuming everyone works within the frame of offering packages and/or different monthly retainers that entail different monthly amounts of attention/effort that go towards a client's website.

I have a threeway set with a beginner package for 850 USD, an advanced one for 1500 USD and a top one for 3200 USD. They all differ massively in the work I put into the packages (regular SEO vs trying to get the client featured in MSM outlets through regular PR work etc).

I chose the prices so that I would have a reasonably priced beginner offer, something "in the middle" and a top notch one. Naturally, I could maintain several beginner sites while I could hardly accept all top packages, even if I had as many requests for that.

What prices do your packages come in? Do share.

Scraped content hurting my rankings

One of my clients runs a cyber security blog which is one of their main traffic sources.

Recently, an industry news site has beem scraping their content and publishing it with their site as canonical. They do include a "this is a copied post" disclaimer with a link to the original.

Now, they are ranking for all our content. They have a similar DA.

Our site was crawled first, both pages are cached, it's clear from the post that our site was the original poster, yet Google has decided to rank their page instead. Is there anything we can do about this?

We emailed them asking if they'd change the canonical but they are not interested as they are running ads on the page ans prefer to keep hijacking the traffic.

Low CTR and lost ranked KW

Hi. I had a KW ranking pretty high, with 3500 impressions, but only 15 clicks, so the CTR is 0.45. Then I noticed in Ahrefs that the KW was suddenly LOST. And when I search for the KW myself I can't find it.

My theory is that a website that gets a lot of impressions, but no clicks, will be devalued by Googles algorithm.

Is the reason the low CTR?

A friend bought a hair salon and the seller is currently renting one of chairs in the salon. When you google hair salons in x area of y town the old owner shows up higher than my friend. How does my friend get her salon to show up at the address instead of the old owner?

I searched the same long-tail keywords on Bing so many times, it started showing up as a suggested search across users and devices

A neat - and unintentional - hack for those looking for a trick. For background, I searched this term repeatedly over several weeks. It now shows up across geo-locations, devices and users.

Blog ranks Homepage for Keywords? Normal?

After some keyword research I choose the topic and keywords for my next blog. I write the blog, Yoast gives me green lights, it's published and I watch.

Via SEMrush, the keywords begin to rank - slightly. From not in Top 100 to now around 80. Only, the the home page is whats ranking, not the URL for the blog.

Is this normal?

Indexed vs Ranking

Can someone please explain the difference? If my new site is indexed, does that mean I will rank? If not, what steps can I take to get closer to ranking?

Thanks!

Sitemap not showing all the pages?

Hey guys, so I've noticed that my sitemap is not showing all the pages. The page_sitemap.xml only shows 3 pages when I have more than 15+ pages. The problem is that earlier i could see all the pages but now i can't. The sitemap is generated through Yoast if that helps.

DigitalDocument Schema Markup

How should I add this markup to my PDFs? Inside the PDF? But how do I add a JSON LD data snippet in my pdf? Or should I just add them on the website page where there is a link to my pdf ?

About Keywords Research in SEO: Does Chrome Extension "Keywords EveryWhere" Reliable?

Hello Everyone,

Recently is read a blog on moz which said that in order to bring back search volume back in google keyword planner, we can install this chrome extension by the name of "Keywords Everywhere," so i did it and saw that there was a separate column for search volume added by this extension for some keywords. However, the volume column which google keyword planner gives was also present in the range and for some keywords, the volume that keywords everywhere extension showed was more than the volume range showed by google keyword planner. So i want to know how much we can rely on this extension for finding the exact volume of keywords since google keyword planner only shares a range these days. What are the other free options for finding search volumes, also please guide me if i am to search for a specific region i-e city instead of a country in another keyword search tool.

Looking for some interesting and experienced answers!

SEO Suggestion Required Please

We are planning to launch a website like Viator.com that will provide a platform to both travel agencies as well as travellers to cover south-east Asian countries like India, Nepal and Tibet. It is just a new project so I was wondering what sort of SEO, Paid Advertisements will be effective. Also as many different travel companies will post their travel packages most of the content will not be unique but simply copied from their own website. So, I think that will increase the risk of duplicate content in our website. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you!
