I love a good metaphor and have been hearing great ones coming out of SEO conversations recently.
"Blackhat linking is like bring a machete to make sushi. You could get a lot done real fast, but you could also make a big mess."
"Google crawl budget optimisation is like going to look manually look for a book at a library at night with only a flashlight which has battery for a few minutes." (I'm a conversation about importance index, internal linking, signals, crawl rate,)
