Stories of traffic and users spikes when getting features on Techcrunch, being features on the App stores, etc.

I'm trying to work on a plan to get our first 100k users.

Obviously we're going to work on month by month growth but I'm interested in what the big spikes look like.

At some point someone is going to really like our product and we're going to be covered on Techcrunch, Ars Technica , etc.

I'm interested in your stories.

How much traffic you received, what % converted, etc.
