On my site, I have a page for each product (don't get too hung up on the word product... it's not an ecommerce site, I don't sell anything) and it's really long because I have a ton of great, detailed info on each product. The info is arranged in 5 sections. For example, imagine a page that has a section for product overview, technical specs, health warnings, resale value, etc.
If the info you're looking for happens to be in that 5th section, you have to scroll through all 4 previous sections to get to what you're looking for. That can take a long time, especially on mobile.
I'm considering changing this so that on page load, the user just sees the titles of each of the 5 sections (without any of the details). They can then click on the title of any section and the detailed info would expand. I think this makes it way easier to find what the user is looking for.
However, I'm hesitant to do this as I'll be hiding most of my content on page load. I'm afraid that Google will devalue that content as it is hidden. Am I over thinking this? Or would it be a bad idea to hide most of my content on page load?
