A couple weeks ago I wrote a massive 4,000 word article. I shared it a couple places but it didn't really get traction anywhere. No biggie.
My traffic was through the roof. I just found out that it got shared on hacker news and it has 99 comments.
The article is doing terrible for google rankings considering how well positioned the domain is for ranking in low to mid competition keywords. the article is wayyyy over wordcount of any of its competitors so it may just be overoptimized.
At first I thought someone was doing negative SEO on me with a site called "hacker news". but it looks like its a ycombinator company which suggests its highly legit. can't be the cause of any negative SEO right? at this point negative SEO should hardly even be a thing, if at all.
