Some notes:
-
It's a historically shitty site that sees maybe 300 sessions a day. Currently in the process of rewriting and redesigning the whole thing. Should launch with proper redirects and a better lead capture design next week if everything proceeds to plan.
-
I have done NOTHING directly to the current version of the site since April.
-
Our advertising campaign didn't start until yesterday, and really kicks off in two weeks. Besides, I'd have expected direct traffic to rise from that, and this was organic.
-
Keywords are not provided, of course.
-
Form fills and leads did not spike correspondingly, which makes me wonder at the traffic quality. It's wrecked my conversion rate, which was already dumb low to begin with.
-
About 44% of our web traffic is from one ranking page, and that has decent pages per session and session time. Otherwise, I'm lucky to get 30 seconds.
Any ideas? Was there an algorithm update that I missed and ended Monday?
