Hello SEOs, I’ve been working in Aerospace engineering for the last 10+ years and found SEO a couple of years ago. Started and grew a couple of affiliate marketing websites somewhat successfully and and have done some small contracts for small agencies.
Lost my job due to COVID a couple of months ago and I am now thinking of giving SEO a try as a full time gig.
I would like to get some experience working for a large company or agency before trying to go out on my own.
I applied to two jobs and got called back for both. One of my interviews is Wednesday.
I have two main questions:
-
Any tips from people that made a big career switch like this into SEO? How do you suggest I approach an interview and job search in general?
-
How should I handle my LinkedIn? It’s currently fully set up for my previous career in engineering. I’ve read that I shouldn’t have 2 profiles or a single profile with 2 completely different specialties.
Any input or tips would be greatly appreciate.
