I have a lot of potential customers contact me and tell me they want monthly SEO. Most of the time their site barely has a blog and no PPC going so I can convince them monthly SEO is not what they need and would be a waste if the end goal is to generate leads. But, I have to admit, I'm not sure what a monthly SEO contract would even look like.
Let me say that I don't consider writing a blog post to be SEO. SEO = search engine optimization so although optimizing a post is part of writing a blog, I don't consider that to be SEO because adding new content is only thinly related to the optimization of the website for search engines. Maybe that's just me being pedantic.
I've done some technical audit and remediation work based off site crawl reports and some keyword research to inform a content strategy as one off projects, but I'm a little confused as to what the involvement would be on a monthly basis.
Aside from blog writing/creating new content (which I see in a number of agencies "seo" packages), what are you doing on a month to month basis for your clients?
