What is the best way to promote and advertise for cannabis business? Given that its considered illegal on most social media platforms

I have a client who runs an online cannabis delivery platform, where people can order and purchase cannabis online (we are in Canada). I would like to share my very limited experience with this type of business, and what are the most obsticals we faced. In the first part i will describe what we did in terms of SEO, and in the 2nd part im going to talk about advertising and the problems we are facing in a hope that we will get some guidance and new ideas from the community

In terms of SEO, we only started last week the website is on wordpress so installed yoast and configrated it, plus i did all the usuall stuff such as (canonical links, alt img and descriptiom, title and description meta tags, internal linking, H1 etc), i also resized all images, There is another guy who take care of the content, however i also created a few specific schemas, one for local business,one for delivery business, and i did one automated product schemas for all the product pages where the schema automatically picks the title, price, description, picture, deliverytime, brand, img ..etc, i used google tag manager to install them so they wont affect the speed but i was done with all that this week so we havent really got the time to see the actuall results

In terms of advertising, to start with, the website got suspended from godaddy for running this type of business, it also got banned on google and facebook for cannabis advertising, we found another host for the website which allows this kind of activities (but its very slow). we opened new social media accounts (the business is still new) however, we are back to advertising on fb and google but we do that indirectly, we get the content writer to write things about some related topics such as stress and anxiety and then we boost those articles on social media, those articles are linked with the products, i wonder what other ideas we could try to advertise on those platforms and also what other platforms&hosts are out there that are good for this type of business, and finally where do we start with link building? i appreciate if i could get any help or guidance on any of those topics, as this industry is very difficult and special to deal with
