What to do with articles that aren't ranking (and in general, bad) after 6 months?

My site is now 6 months old and I made a ton of mistakes early on with my keyword selection.

I was new, so it was to be expected. I spent a lot of time writing poor articles for keywords that get very little traffic. Now they still don't rank but I'm wondering what action I can take?

You know how a house sometimes gets so old the best thing to do is tear it down? My content is a little like that. Even the URLs don't seem to be able to be saved as they would need redirects.
