Wordpress SEO using Yoast did not give result in 6 months as expected.

I am using free version of Yoast on one of my website https://HealthRoom.in for last 6 months. I thought adding keywords and alt text to the media on the website will at least bring the website at least little higher in the organic ranking if not bring it on the top. I have not seen any noticeable change in the last 6 months. Now I am wondering does it even work ? Or it’s something that Google just entirely ignores. Looking for some valuable suggestions.
