Me: I am making a single page website with a single product, I am interested in ranking a single keyword.
The Competition : There are a few huge multipage sites, with a page of theirs ranking to the keyword. However their backlinks to that particular ranking page is average of 7.
Can a single page website that is just starting out can beat these goliaths, would putting 100 quality backlinks to the single keyword beat 7 backlinks of these goliaths ?
If this is possible how should i go about it. Im only interested in one keyword.
