Hey SEOs of Reddit,
Just started a job as a Jr. SEO Analyst Intern for a big corporation. We're moving our website from Drupal to Magento codebase and the Head of Product asked me if there are any SEO concerns about the migration. I told him I'd look into it and get back to him.
Did some Googling and also looked at previous posts on this Subreddit. Opinions seem to be mixed. Gist seems to be that Magento is a complicated platform to use but if you use some SEO-related plugins for Magento and make some configurations you'll be fine from an SEO perspective. Other people have said that Magento is bloated and to run for it, and also that it seems to lead to duplicate content issues.
What do you think? What should I tell the head of my department?
Thank you!
Travis
