I'm not in marketing, but help run a small business that has a popular user forum. Several years ago we moved the user forum to a separate domain. In the past, the forum was on a subdomain of our main domain. We have about 120k posts in our forums and thousands of active users.
I understand that traffic helps increase ranking. Does it help enough for me to push marketing to move it back to a subdomain?
