So I published two articles yesterday and had them indexed via google console. Let's say one is SEO'd for "in depth AMD PROCESSOR setup guide" and the other one "12 best AMD PROCESSORS".
What I did was add internal links into both posts, as I always do. On the first article I made a h4 ("other amd guides") with a list that contains a link to the article and the link text was the exact name of the 2nd article (so basically the same keyword).
The problem is that when I google "12 best AMD processors" that article is nowhere to be found (although it's indexed and it contains the said keyword 6 times inside the article), instead it pops up the first article as a result ("in depth amd processor setup guide") and shows the "best amd processors" keyword in the description (even though I added a custom post meta with yoast).
What should I do in this case? I've never had this happen that an article with a keyword link would outrank the article it links to which has the said keyword in H1 tags and all over the text and images.
Losing out on a lot of potential traffic, in the meantime the "12 best amd processors" got featured on g discover and its bringing in traffic but none organically through search...
