Hi everyone,
This seems like a very basic question, but it isn't something I've thought about until now. I'll soon be doing seo for my Shopify store for the first time, I have a couple of keywords I'll be trying to rank for, but there's something I'm unsure of.
Let's assume my store sells chairs and I want to rank for "comfortable office chairs". Which page would be best to work the keyword in to? My initial thought was the product pages, but I don't think it would be a good option for two main reasons:
1) I don't want the product page headers/content to have to be focused around containing keywords.
2) It would be better to take someone searching for the keyword to a page that contains all of the matching products rather than just one.
I'm now leaning towards categorising my store, and having each category page be optimized for my keywords of choice, but would this really be the best option?
My main concern:
My store is currently very small, I only have 6 variations of my first product and a couple of related accessories. Splitting everything up into categories might affect conversions by adding an additional page for users to navigate before they get to my product pages.
