Alright, I'm new to SEO, did some research and I believe this is the way to getting backlink. Please correct me or improve it if I'm wrong
1) Create really good content. But since it is a new website, it is virtually non-existent on Google results
2) Create more really good content AND get traffic. Be it posting on medium, facebook, reddit, reaching out to influencers etc. Now with more visitors visiting the website and reading it, eventually it will get rank higher on Google, maybe top 5 page of search result.
3) Repeat step 2 for months and months and months.
4) IF your content is really good, people will link to your articles, thus creating quality backlink. This time round the articles may squeeze into the top page.
Would love to have some great tips from any SEO writers here! Thanks and I appreciate any comments in advance!
