DMCA Issues Affecting my traffic

I recently got a DMCA copyright notice for using a copyrighted image on my website! The article has been de-indexed by Google as of now.

But since then one of my article which got healthy traffic has been seen getting 0-20 views/day which was 4000/day a few days back.

Does DMCA affect overall website ranking or is it something else?

Totally screwed as of now!
