The SEO guy at work says linking to files (such as documents and images) hosted on another domain we own is bad for SEO. (the two sites are related to real estate)
Because of this reasoning - we make copies of files (which might already exist on our other domain) and upload them again.
Do sites really get penalized for linking to content they host on other sites they own?
